My last article was published on 3rd of April 2015.
At that time, Etude was a different place, and I was a different place too.
Then life happened.
Years passed, priorities changed, many things happened, and little by little I neglected the website. Etude became quiet.
But some ideas never really disappear. They stay somewhere in the background, waiting until the right moment to return.
Now, after all these years, I am coming back to my Etude - but not simply to continue where I left off.
I want to begin again with a different perspective.
I am less interested now in creating something that only looks beautiful. There is already so much perfection around us - polished photographs, polished homes, polished faces, polished lives.
What interests me more is what is real.
How something feels.
Why we are drawn to certain objects, places or people.
Why some imperfect things have more character than perfect ones.
Why natural materials, age, texture, memory and individuality can make something more beautiful, not less.
Etude is changing with me.
The new Etude will focus on original digital prints on linen, limited- edition pieces and hand- knitted garments - things made in smaller quantities, with character and individuality.
I want the pieces I create to feel personal. Not something everyone is wearing or living with, but something that reflects the person who chooses it.
And alongside the objects themselves, I want this Journal to become a place for thoughts and observations - about life, people, places and things we often pass without really seeing.
I don't want to teach anyone how to live.
I simply want to look a little closer.
Perhaps that is what coming back means for me now - returning to where I was, but seeing the same idea with different eyes.
